Shannon Polugar is a photographer with a passion for viewing the world in ways that are beyond what our eyes see. Just as people with poor vision use glasses to see the world more clearly, Polugar uses the camera’s lens to make clear what our eyes miss. Her photography is braille for her viewer's eyes, letting their minds feel the sharp, rough, or velvety soft textures that she captures.

Polugar’s work has been displayed at galleries across the United States, as well as in local artist showcases. Her work was also on display at the California State Fair in the last several years, placing in multiple categories.

Photography is not her only creative outlet. She has worked for a wide variety of clients designing everything from emails to presentations, menus to posters, and corporate branding videos. A sample of her previous clients have included the Brentwood County Club of Los Angeles, Samsung SmartThings, Dole, Experian, and Amgen Biotechnology.

Polugar makes her home in California’s Central Valley, equal distance from San Francisco and Yosemite, providing a wide variety of places and spaces to capture in her photographs.
